this is a text of the press release
We, Japanese, have few words to describe the whiteness of snow.
But INUIT, living on the snowfield, have so many phrases to express them.
I assume that it derives from their necessity in daily life.
Also in the sphere of textile, there are so many expressions relating to WHITE color.
Shiny white, mat, cool, warm, clear, and milky white etc.
Adding the texture factor, the inherent possibility of WHITE expands even more.
WHITE is the color to be able to purify the absurdness.
Now, in our life, particularly where there are full of mixed colors
without harmonization and result in chaotic gray,
we would like to place our hope in silent and deep world of WHITE.
